Sørkomp/CSUB has been asked by Technip France to propose a GRP foundation solution to support flexible spools at the touchdown point on the seabed. The spools are suspended from the FPSO Girassol at 1400 meter waterdepth west of Luanda, West-Africa.
The mattresses shall avoid the flexible spools from embedding into the soil and must be designed so that a Remotely Operated Vehicle may lift and position these mattresses on the seabed with no aid of a surface crane. Sørkomp received the contract for production of these mattresses and will provide design, FEM-analysis, fabrication and lifting arrangement within a scope of just 8 weeks.
The delivery of these support foundations is a part of Sørkomp’s new line of products for the oil and gas industry.
