CSUB’s J-Tube Ramp is an innovative support structure specifically designed to protect and support subsea cables and flexibles at their interface with offshore structures. This GRP structure plays a crucial role in ensuring safe cable transition from seabed to surface through J-tubes, particularly in Offshore Wind Turbines, Offshore Substations and Offshore rigs.

Product Features and Advantages
Seamless Installation System:
The J-Tube Ramp Top Cover is equipped with a unique integrated self-locking interface towards the ramp – simplifying the installation and consequently reducing installation costs. The structure has a slim design making it the perfect choice also for installation in confined spaces where the J-tubes a closely positioned.
Innovative Design:
The ramp is engineered to prevent uplift through an innovative receiving structure. A curved support channel ensures optimal cable guidance, and the bell-mouth intake chamber secures perfect alignment with J-tube. An upwardly curving base provides flexibility in vertical positioning. Low friction contact elements are embedded in the design to prevent contact friction damage to the J-tube.
Material Excellence:
Constructed from Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GRP) the structure has a corrosion-resistant and maintenance-free design. There is an expected design life exceeding 50 years.
Versatile Application:
Our support structure is compatible with multiple cable types and can be designed to accommodate different seabed conditions. This makes the structure suitable for various offshore structures, including wind turbines and substations. Typical length up to 4 meters ensures proper support.
Environmental Benefits:
GRP is an environmentally sustainable material that significantly reduces the carbon footprint compared to traditional solutions using materials such as steel. Its non-metallic, lightweight design reduces the need for large installation vessels, while its exceptional durability eliminates future maintenance and replacement—delivering a long-term, sustainable alternative to conventional systems.
